“In this day and age, it’s hard to find a someone you can trust. Rebecca Davis was recommended to me by a friend, and now I know why – the quality of service and friendship I received was outstanding. She supported us through the whole birth process and helped me feel confident.
Thank you for all that you have done for us, you made our birth an extraordinary memory we will cherish for a lifetime.”

What truly amazed me was that her services go above and beyond the hours in labor. She gave us great support in preparation for labor in terms of phone calls, personal meetings, advise and handouts. And then beyond that was the much appreciated tips and support once the newborn was at home with us. It was the support I received after the labor was done that really exceeded my expectations and which I am truly grateful to Rebecca for everything she did to enhance the experience of our first born daughter.

There were many positive aspects to my doula, Becca, but if I had to isolate one I would say it was the immediate and incredible relief I felt when she walked into the room and gave me a hug. I had felt terribly frightened as labour was progressing very quickly and I knew that I was unlikely going to have time for the pain relief which I had always thought I would not be able to do without. I am a single mother and my support was not there, so someone recommended having a doula. Now I knew I didn't want some one who was to "natural" for me (not how I am) I wanted someone normal. Right when I met her at Starbucks I knew she was the one for me. Her manner and the practical advice she gave me made an enormous difference to how I felt both emotionally and physically through pregnancy and into my birth. I recommend Becca for anyone looking for a great doula."

From Shelly’s husband: At first I was skeptical, I was not sure what my role would be if a doula was invited. I will advice first time dads, it was the best decision I (we) made. I found that I was much more at ease, and more able to focus on being there for my wife. It also helped keep me grounded. I felt Becca was greatly supportive of us sticking to our birth plan. Her calm presence and knowledge of the process helped us to relax and manage to stay focused rather than be overwhelmed by the stress of going through labor & delivery for the first time. I felt we had that additional support person who would work with the hospital staff and keep us informed. The most helpful aspect of having a doula was having someone with us the whole time who knew what was happening and could provide comfort and confidence. Becca made me feel important and involved I also know that without her there I would not of been able to leave the room to take care of myself. She made sure I was eating and taking care of myself so I could provide the best support for my wife and new baby to come. She was not only there to support my wife but the whole family! Thank you Becca.
Thank you ,Rebecca! Your smile and your loving attitude helped transform what could have been a really stressful period (“Oh, my, is that normal?”) into something wonderful (“Yes, that’s normal, relax, breathe, you are OK!”). I found that you often knew what I needed before I did! Your intuition, grace, modesty and peace while supporting us in the birth process was life changing. We felt you were always there when we needed you and even in the background when we didn't. Your faithfulness and continued care will always be cherished. Of course my husband is your biggest fan... Thanks for teaching us how to listen to what we needed to do as a couple, through the birth process and into parenthood. The breastfeeding support was amazing as well. We appreciated all the newborn care information which was priceless... Thank you again!!!

Becca Davis, Lactation Specialist: Priceless.
I wish there were words that could truly convey how priceless and absolutely amazing, magical and life changing Becca has been for my entire family. For me a natural unmedicated birth was a walk in the park compared to figuring out how to breastfeed my first and newborn daughter Ninel. She was 36 weeks, a little early and had a challenging time staying awake and eating enough once we came back home from the hospital. I was given an array of different advice and information from health professionals, which wound me up having a nervous breakdown within 3 days of being home (lots of crying, exhaustion and frustrated).

I called Becca as we had met when I was still pregnant and 10 minutes after our phone chat she said I am on my way to your house, this was after 8pm in the evening. Becca walked in with a smile and such positive, loving, passionate energy that I knew everything would be okay. I have a big family and Becca was completely okay having my mom, mother in law, husband and best friend in our pow wow room.
Becca did what was the most healing thing ever by starting off and asking me to tell everyone about my birth. I instantly began to cry and was able to release alot of energy and feelings I was unaware were still present. After she helped my daughter, Ninel and I find a comfortable latch on and breastfeeding position. After 10pm at night Becca’s magic and talent was done for the time being. From that session on Ninel is an eating machine. Now she actually is eating so much I am not getting enough lovely sleep, though it is exactly what we wanted and are extremely happy.
Becca came by another time later in the week to check up on us and she was so thoughtful and brought us calalilies (she remembered from a previous conversation that they were my husband and I’s wedding flowers-very thoughtful), and some fruit and treats. Becca is always thinking of others.Becca has helped soothe our hearts and minds. I still text Becca at all hours of the night with some questions and her quick responses have really put my heart to ease. Becca really did change our lives for the better and she is priceless and a must for anyone who might need any sort of support with breast feeding. You will also find that you will quickly have made a genuine friend along with getting lactation help.Matt,Renee & Ninel

Rebecca gave me hope and determination when I thought I was gonna give up...
My son was born on Christmas morning 2010. I was already set on the fact that I wanted to exclusively nurse my baby boy before he was even conceived.
When Corey Jr. was born I immediately started to try to nurse him but he would not latch on. For the next 2 days that I was in the hospital I was visited by 3 different Lactation Consultants and only one was able to get him to properly latch on but after she left I couldn't get him to do it again. Because I refused to feed my baby anything but breast milk, I ended up having to pump every couple hours and bottle-feed him. After a couple weeks of having to pump so much to keep my supply up it started taking its toll and I was ready to give up and switch to formula. I met with a couple more consultants after we got home from the hospital but none were able to help me. They told me to keep trying to nurse before I gave him a bottle but after a few days, nursing became a bad experience and I stopped trying.
Rebecca ended up getting back into town just in time. We had a conversation and I explained how I was so traumatized from the whole situation. The next day she came over and showed me her techniques. Within 10 min of her visit Corey Jr. was latched on and nursing. She took the time to sit with me through the whole feeding and gave me different tips and positions.
It's been almost a week now and I have not pumped or fed him through a bottle once. It's been all nursing for us! If it weren't for Rebecca I would be formula feeding my baby, which I did not want to do. I plan on using her as my full Doula on my next birth!
Thank you so much my dear friend for all you did for me.The Eaton Family
Becca is truly amazing and extremely dedicated to helping mothers and their babies! (THANK YOU!!). Becca has provided me with excellent guidance over the course of my nursing relationship with my two daughters. I am especially grateful to her for her help increasing my second daughter's intake of breastmilk at about 4 months of age. We worked on milk supply, latch, positioning, and management of tandem nursing my youngest and her older sister. I was truly amazed at how she handled the different personalities and styles of my children. Becca paid close attention to both the details and the big picture and was a source of solid information and encouragement. She is a natural, skills can be learned but she was intuitive to each child as a whole. I cannot praise her skills enough! I have also had the opportunity to talk with many other mothers who have been helped by Becca, and they overwhelmingly come away from a consultation feeling empowered and uplifted. Becca gives a great gift to mothers: help providing their babies with the unparalleled goodness of breastmilk and the unequaled experience of breastfeeding. I would say even if you have not used her doula services don’t hesitate to call for breastfeeding support, you will be glad you did!! Lori &family
I wanted to take this opportunity to express the gratitude I have for the support I, little Ripley, and my husband received from Rebecca during the tumultuous first stages of breastfeeding. I found myself at home the second week of my son's life devastated with thoughts that I did not have enough milk for him. I had already received a million and one differing opinions from various doctors and lactation consultants regarding strategies for increasing my milk supply. I was so confused, scared, and overwhelmed. I have faced none too few challenges in my life and for the most part found ways to persevere. However, breastfeeding literally brought me to my knees in tears with mountainous feelings of inadequacy. I had confided in one of my close friends about my struggle and she offered to research Doula's in my area that could offer personalized support to me. Literally within a half hour she had talked to Rebecca, who had offered to come see me in my home that very afternoon. Rebecca was wonderful and very calming to my new-mommy anxieties. She watched me breastfeed and offered tips and reassurance that everything was fine with me, with baby, and with my milk supply.Over the next several weeks she has continued to check-in with me and meet with me. She keeps me positive and encouraged with all the ups and downs of breastfeeding. I am sure I would have given up without her encouragement, advice, and support. I plan to continue to use her services as long as necessary and see us developing a friendship as well.

Infectious smile and positive energy just kept us in a good place through the whole birth and especially after baby came home. Becca even kept the staff smiling and was so helpful in keeping the room calm and yet professional all at the same time. She reasurred us when we were overly concerned and if I was starting to get anxious she just seemed to know it before i flipped out. Mario has his own testimony but it might take up the whole page (smiles). If anyone is looking for a doula who has a heart as big as her smile, Becca is the doula for you. I can never thank her enough for all the support in breastfeeding and newborn care. The breastfeeding techiniques that she taught me were priceless and nothing I found in any book. Becca also reminded me to trust in my own decisions. She kept saying one thing which was key for me... (I now repeat to myself) This precious baby, I made, I carried, I can feed and care for and all he needs is ME!!! She shares words of wisdom that stays with a mother's heart forever. Thank You Becca!

"Dear Becca, I know I thanked you a thousand times in person during the times we spent together, but I had to write so others can know what a priceless service you provide. Before meeting you, my idea of a doula was a stranger who simply helped you to “breathe” during contractions. You proved me wrong. You made my husband and I feel so comfortable asking you a bunch of questions during your visit to our home. Your skills and talents helped me faced the fears I had about childbirth and the reality of laboring. I was and still am amazed at the fact that my husband did not get yelled at, you suggested to him when and when not to touch me and reassured him that through it all I was fine. With all the ways you suggested to help me cope with the contractions, it really kept my mind relaxed.
Whenever I tell my friends about you, your smile and confidence in your services is the highlight of my conversation. I really could go on and on about you as a doula and about the warmth you bring to your work. You are truly a priceless gem. My precious family and I thank you so much for bringing such a priceless service to us, we will remember it always, Thank You!" Tomas and Mia
Our family was really on a tight budget but I really wanted Rebecca as my doula, so I had a jar at my baby shower that people could put money in to support my choice to have a doula. I told my friends and family not to worry about gifts because what I really wanted was to have a doula at our birth.Of course they didn't listen but everyone did drop in something, it really worked and I share so that others who don't have the money could try it. Rebecca then came up with a gift certificate idea and I think it's great. She really worked with me and my husband(active Coastguard duty)to get the best service for what we could afford.
Thanks Rebecca for your unchanging dedication and support through our experience. The Gerdale Family
*A Doula’s help during a C-Section still truly a blessing…
Our fourth child, a beautiful little girl, Destiny Marie, a bouncing 9lbs, 22inches.I had already had three prior c-sections, and was quite sure that Becca would not be able to be a part of our birth experience. I was pleasantly surprised that even though I was having a c-section Becca was able to be our doula.
Her pre-natal support was amazing! Becca's ability to listen, understand and comprehend my feelings, and soothe my fears and concerns were truly a gift. Because of her support and knowledge I found myself more relaxed and confident about the day of my daughter's birth. Her priceless list of activities to keep my other children actively involved and busy during my time of recovery were heaven sent. My youngest son fell in love with Becca’s involvement in our family and continues to ask when does he get to have a playdate with her.
The Big day….Becca joined us at the hospital on the scheduled day of the C-section. I thought that her role would be fairly minimal and was not sure where she would fit in, because of the c-section. This was definitely not the case! It seemed there was a few C-Section scheduled before ours so we had to wait, during the wait my water broke and I started to go into labor, my contractions were short yet intense and her endless support was amazing. We have not attened classes since our first child and were kinda lost, her techiques kept me focused and relaxed. We had to wait and continued to labor. Then my precious Destiny wanted to come out…feet first. Once again, Becca was a source of fantastic support, and her presence eased the anxiety while we waited to get in the OR. Following the c-section, she was able to come into the OR and stay with me while my husband went with our little one to the nursery. The stitch up time took a lot longer this time and I appreciated her just silent presence sitting in there with me, just carressing my arm and head and reminding me that it would be over shortly and of my precious Destiny. This was very important to me, as I knew from previous experience that it would be a hard and anxious wait then stayed during my recovery period. Once we were back on the mother-baby ward Becca assisted with our first real attempt to nurse our little one. Becca's care and support after giving birth were just as phenomenal as the pre-natal care. Even better really, because I was very medicated to help with pain relief and bleeding, it would have been difficult to tell someone who didn't know what I needed following the birth. Becca asked many questions but seemed to know what I needed before I did. She stayed long after just to make sure my hubby and I were fine. Becca then returned the next day, her smile just lite up the room after the longest night of my life. My other children arrived around the same time and she just helped them maintain a well behaved manner without saying anything but just being there. She provided an environment for questions the children had and really a kind spirit my children felt as well. Her Post pardum help was unmearsurable, with basic house help but mostly with nursing.
This was the best birth experience that I have had, and I truly believe that Becca’s presence is the reason why. I will be eternally grateful for Becca, my angel…
The Anders Family..
You were a great match for us, during pregnancy, during birth and extremely helpful with our new baby. All your knowledge on breastfeeding and newborn care was priceless. You made me feel more confident in my mothering than you will ever know. They say that mothering comes as second nature, well it does with a little help, thanks. I strongly recommend to all mothers,to have Rebecca by your side. Dan will always be your biggest fan, your support for him was priceless, he also brags of how his doula saved him from all the things men deal with during labor such as screamin' ,cursin' etc. and all those other things, lol.
